I’ve been a fan of Emma Kate Codrington for at least a year now. I was first drawn to her writing and photography while reading World of Wanderlust, and absolutely fell in love with her whole brand shortly thereafter. For starters, I highly appreciate her products. After spending a semester with my university’s literary press and studying different papers, inks, and fonts, I’m always a sucker for beautifully made prints. Furthermore, I love good marketing and branding. From the photography to the copy to the physical products, Emma Kate Co. perfectly encapsulates everything whimsical and dreamy. When I found out via her mailing list that she was creating a planner, I immediately knew what I’d be buying. Look no farther because this is the only travel planner you’ll need for 2017.
While everything is still in its Kickstarter phase, Emma has done her best to make sure you fully understand what you’ll be backing. I love the fabric hardcover (so many of my planners have gone to the wayside because of flimsy covers). The best is that she titles the planner Write Your Own Adventure 2017. This guy isn’t just here to keep your organized, it wants to inspire your daily life.
On the inside, she gives just enough structure so you’re not drawing your own lines and creating new sections but just enough freedom to fill in the blanks as you wish. The paper is also thicker (about 40 gsm thicker than normal paper), so you won’t have to worry about ink bleeding through. Oh, and it’s environmentally friendly. Scattered through the planner, you’ll find quotes and encouragements in her signature font. There’s a lot more, but you can see the explanations and even flip through the book here. Plan your next journey, whether it be your big trip, your weekend escapes, or an afternoon get together.
I’m so ridiculously excited for this product, and I can’t wait to take it everywhere with me next year. Hold the phone on any other planners you’re considering because this is the only one you’ll want. And yes, it’ll probably a make an appearance or two on my social media because, hey, it’s pretty instagrammable too ;).
**For the record, this isn’t paid or anything, I’m just that planner lady, and I’ve been eagerly waiting for this Kickstarter since she announced her plans this summer!
